Admission decisions

Decisions regarding admission graduate studies are made by Faculty Admission Committees, based on the evaluation of the documents submitted by each applicant.

Applicants have the right to appeal the Committee’s decision to the Rector of WUT, in accordance with the procedure and deadlines stated in the decision.

For Polish citizens

To be admitted to a graduate programme, candidates must:

  • hold a degree from a first-cycle (engineering or bachelor) or long-cycle master’s programme, 
  • have the competences required to undertake studies in the chosen field, as defined by the learning outcomes for the corresponding first-cycle programme offered by the Faculty
  • a certificate confirming English language proficiency at minimum level B2.

During the admission process, applicants must:

  • register online,
  • pay the application fee and submit all required documents within the deadline.

Applicants select their specialisation at the time of registration.

Required documents

During registration, each applicant receives an individual account to the admission system and may log in multiple times to update information or upload the required electronic documents.

At the online registration stage, the following must be uploaded:

  • a photograph (JPG format, max. 250 kB, compliant with national ID photo requirements),
  • a scan of the diploma or, if not yet issued, a graduation certificate,
  • a scan of the diploma supplement,
  • CV,
  • a certificate confirming English language proficiency at minimum level B2.

After online registration and qualification, applicants must submit the following documents to the Distance-Learning Centre Office:

Polish citizens admitted to the Applied Computer Science programme should deliver their documents in person on one of the following dates:

  • 4 January 2026 – 8:00–16:00
  • 5 January 2026 – 8:00–16:00
  • 6 January 2026 – 8:00–16:00

Required documents:

Note: The office does not make photocopies of documents.

  • original diploma (for inspection) with a clear photocopy (a certified copy is not a photocopy); if the diploma has not yet been issued, the original certificate confirming the award of the engineer or bachelor degree must be submitted together with a signed declaration to deliver the diploma later (template available for download),
  • original supplement (for inspection) with a clear photocopy,
  • CV,
  • national ID card (for inspection),
  • certificate confirming English language proficiency at minimum level B2.

Applicants holding diplomas issued outside the Polish education system (other than IB or EB) must also submit:

  • translation of the diploma into Polish,
  • an apostille or legalisation of the diploma,
  • statement confirming eligibility to undertake higher education studies in the country where the diploma was issued.

Important:
When submitting photocopies, the originals must be presented for verification.
Failure to submit documents on time, regardless of the reason, will be treated as withdrawal from admission.

Documents may be submitted in person or by an authorised representative.
If the documents are submitted on behalf of an applicant, the following must be provided:

  • a signed authorisation form,
  • a complete set of documents,
  • proof of identity.

Graduates from other universities who have not yet received their diploma (as it has not been issued) must submit a certificate confirming the completion of the diploma examination and a declaration to provide the original diploma within the deadline set by the Faculty Admission Committee (usually within six weeks).

Applicants who obtained their first-cycle diploma abroad are subject to the diploma legalisation procedure.
